To celebrate Marcin’s fifth year at UNBXD, we sat down with him for a quick Q&A session to find out more about his biggest achievements, challenges and life lessons. As one of our main Web Developers, Marcin is truly part of the furniture here at UNBXD - which is why we’re keen to put him in the spotlight for a few minutes!

How did you first become interested in web development or design, and what inspired you to join our agency?

Programming was always my hobby, but due to relocation, I was looking for a local company in my area. UNBXD was a lucky shot, to be honest!

Can you share a memorable project you've worked on during your time at the agency? What made it special or challenging?

Pukka Stationery! One of the biggest projects I have ever worked on. Produced on Magento 2, it required a lot of customization and learning on the job with unexpected hurdles.

What skills or expertise have you gained since joining the agency, and how have they evolved over the past five years?

Each platform - such as Magento, Shopify & Drupal - has offered new experiences and learning opportunities to overcome, whether it's configuring our hosting, working with PHP, or customising woo commerce, I am always up for the challenge.

What has been your proudest moment or accomplishment in your role at the agency?

Spending 5 years in the same company is a huge achievement in our industry. I am proud that I never refuse to help my team with any programming problems.

How has the web industry changed during your time here, and how have you adapted to these changes?

The web industry is constantly updating with new requirements, languages, and information. I easily adapt when we face new information, along with self-development and my team.

Could you tell us about a time when you had to overcome a significant challenge in your work, and how you managed to do so?

Sometimes you can encounter really demanding clients, and it's hard to meet all requirements. However, we always try our best to achieve the best solutions and please everybody!

What do you enjoy most about working at our agency, and how has the company culture contributed to your success?

I love the friendly atmosphere and the fact I have full support from the team. Working at UNBXD plays an important part in my life.

How do you see the future of web development or design, and what role do you hope to play in it?

I try not to think too much about the future, as our industry brings new challenges each day which keeps me focused on the present.

What advice would you give to newcomers in the web industry or those starting their careers at our agency?

Never give up, always try to achieve your goals. Before I started working as a professional, I made a few games as a hobby which helped me jump into the programming industry and get me to where I am today.

How have your personal and professional goals evolved since joining the agency, and how have they been supported here?

I wanted to learn more about other platforms such as Shopify, Squarespace, or BigCommerce. Each time I've had a problem or questions, my team has fully supported me and assisted in solving my issues.

How do you balance work and life, and what hobbies or interests do you pursue outside of the agency?

My hobbies include gaming and programming. I also spend the majority of my time with our new puppy, daughter & partner. Working fully remotely helps me balance work and life as there is never enough time in the day.

Are there any mentors or colleagues who have significantly influenced your growth and development at the agency?

Every member of the team brings new knowledge and continues to learn, which is why I’m so happy to work at UNBXD.

In your opinion, what sets our agency apart from others in the industry, and what has kept you here for five years?

Amazing people who fully support me in all aspects. If you wake up and do your daily routine with a smile on your face, it's the right place for you.

What are your aspirations for the future, both professionally and personally, as you continue your journey with the agency?

My future goal is to know more about API integrations and to be able to be more helpful in complex projects. Personally, I want to finish my games which have been paused due to more responsibilities around our new home.
