Designing a Custom Camera Operating System for Shotoku Broadcast Systems
Shotoku Broadcast Systems are an international leader in the manufacture and marketing of a full range of camera support products with an emphasis on manual and robotic pedestals and pan/tilt heads of the television broadcast industry.
They work with some of the industries biggest studios and production houses such as Sky Sports, Sky News, the BBC and more. Shotoku tasked UNBXD with redesigning their on camera operating system with a new intuitive design that would incorporate new features and bring the software to life.
Our talented design team carried out a complete software UI/UX redesign with an emphasis on bringing modern design language to the camera's interface. We did this by incorporating a system-level Dark mode that intelligently changes colour tones depending on the user's environment. We also developed a custom iconography and a unique, custom button format that can be replicated for future Shotoku software and camera updates.
